One Day Dead River White Water Adventures
From just below Grand Falls to the confluence with the Kennebec River in The Forks, the Dead River offers more continuous white water rafting than any other river in the east. You will be challenged for 15 miles by turbulent waves and exciting Class III and IV whitewater rapids with names like Mine Field, Mile Long, Elephant Rock, and Poplar Hill Falls. After your white water rafting adventure enjoy a hearty cookout of steak, teriyaki chicken, salmon steak, or veggie burger accompanied by stir-fried rice, homemade salad and cookies, hot chocolate, lemonade, or our famous Maine Guide's Coffee back at the Adventure Resort Center. After your meal, relax in the comforts of our Main Lodge and relive the day's white water rafting adventure with a slide and video presentation.
High white water releases on the Dead River are scheduled on only a few special dates throughout the season. Guests are advised to book early as this trip enjoys a special reputation among white water fans everywhere!
