Adventure Bound Maine Summer Camp Staff
We know that the quality of staff can greatly affect a campers experience - from creating relationships, to teaching safety, and creating a positive, fun environment. With the camper’s safety and well being in mind, Adventure Bound Summer Camp prides itself on selecting staff for their safety consciousness, willingness to work with youth, love of the outdoors, and a strong background.
Our counselors must pass an extensive training program and become registered Maine whitewater guides, recreational camping guides, and trip leaders all through the governing body of Inland Fish and Wildlife of the state of Maine.
Adventure Bound Summer Camp counselors must have advanced first aid certifications, Wilderness First Responder or Wilderness EMT issued through a nationally recognized program such as NOLS, SOLO, WMI, WMA.
In addition counselors are chosen for their personal and professional background working with youth and other certifications. Our counselors must be 18 years old, submit a drug test, and pass a background check.
