Dead River

This day starts around 8 AM with orientation and gearing up, then bus into the Dead River, and hit the water around 10:30 after a quick snack.

From just below Grand Falls to the confluence of the Kennebec River in The Forks, the Dead River offer more whiter rafting than any other river in the east. You will be challenged for 15 mile by turbulent waves and exciting class III – IV whitewater rapids.

We enjoy 3.5 or so hours on the river, and expect to be back at base around 2:00. We prepare the barbecue lunch while paddlers can get dry and warm, then end the day with lunch a slideshow of the trip photos.

The Dead River only releases on select dates – be sure to check the dates below so you don’t miss out!
