Overview

Your day kicks off at approximately 8 AM with an informative orientation, safety talk, and gearing up session (Wetsuit provided if needed). By 10 AM, you’ll be on the water, for four hours of river excitement. We anticipate returning to our base between 2-3 PM, with time to change and relive the adventure through a slideshow of photos.

This 12-mile trip down the Kennebec River is a whitewater rafting trip like no other. The first thrilling 6 miles we will navigate continuous Class III – IV rapids, ensuring non-stop excitement.  Start out with Taster rapid and build up to class IV Whitewasher and Magic Falls rapids.  You’ll even have an option to jump in the river at Swimmers rapid.

But that’s not all – after conquering the rapids, our guides will provide a delicious riverside barbecue featuring grilled chicken and river rice!  Weather depending, we may have a snack on the river and serve lunch back at Adventure Bound.

8 & 9 year old kids can meet the trip after the major rapid and before lunch.  They still get to enjoy a class III rapid and the lower river.  Ask for more info when booking.

As you continue down to the lower river, the fun continues with water fights against friends, testing your skills in an inflatable kayak, or simply surrendering to the gentle current as you float with your life jacket through the scenic waterway.

Thanks to controlled dam releases, we guarantee an entire summer filled with whitewater thrills, and we’re here to make it happen for your family or youth group, seven days a week, May – October!
