Full Day Adventur: 8-12 people
Adventure Bound’s Rock Climbing Adventure is an experience designed to leave you not only exhilarated but also equipped with valuable climbing skills and a deep sense of achievement. Our program encourages participants to progress at their own pace, all while receiving dedicated guidance from our seasoned rock climbing guides. These experts provide instruction ensuring you learn the basics of knot tying, belay techniques, hone climbing moves, and navigate rappelling with confidence.
Given the remote nature of our chosen site, each rock climbing adventure offers an intimate experience with a maximum group size of 12 and a minimum of 8 participants. To reach the climbing site, a 1/2 mile lake paddle is required, to start this unique journey before climbing to breathtaking views.
Enjoy this unique rock climbing adventure at Adventure Bound’s remote site on the picturesque Moxie Pond. Our full-day rock climbing adventure commences at 8 am with a comprehensive orientation, equipping you with the necessary gear and allowing time to pack a picnic lunch. A scenic drive to Moxie Pond followed by a 1/2 mile paddle across the cove with all our climbing gear to start our climb at a remote spot.
At our climbing site, participants learn to belay, mastering the art of belaying peers as they ascend the rock face. While climbers and belayers collaborate on the main climbing activities, our experienced guides take individuals aside for a thrilling rappelling experience down the tallest section of the climbing face. Depending on the group size and the time spent on climbing endeavors, most groups return to the Adventure Bound base around 4pm, concluding a day filled with challenges and stunning natural surroundings.
We have two lodging options at our Adventure Center. First is traditional tent camping in large field spaces big enough for any size group, each with a fire ring and picnic table.
Or enjoy our bunkhouse style cabin tents, each is large enough for up to 10 people. Just bring a sleeping bag and pillow and you’re all set up! The main buildings offer 4 bathrooms (2 men’s, 2 women’s) with toilets and hot showers.
Once you arrive at Adventure Bound we take care of the transportation for all scheduled activities. Our location has a large parking lot with plenty of space for busses and large groups.
Lunch is included on your rafting trip. Weather depending, we offer a riverside BBQ with fire grilled teriyaki chicken or veggie burger, river rice, pasta salad, cookies, lemonade and granola bars for a snack. In cold or raining weather we’ll cook you lunch back a the Adventure Center, after you change in to warm dry cloths.
