Half or Full Day Programs

Youth Development & Team Building Through Adventure

The Adventure Bound’s course offers unique obstacles for participants to overcome as they learn more about themselves and each other. Featuring both low and high elements, including a HC Swing (Holy Cow!), our ropes course includes both physical and mental challenges for the entire group, allowing each person to test their personal limits in a fun, safe, supportive team atmosphere. This program is available to any youth group seeking an activity designed to encourage personal growth, camaraderie, and the development of trust.

Schedule & Pricing

Our ropes course schedule can be entirely custom to fit the wants and needs of your group but our typical schedule is as follows:

A FULL DAY of ropes course starts between 8 and 9 am with an orientation, and a warmup with field games. We then head to our low ropes elements and rotate through those until lunchtime. After lunch we will head up to our high ropes elements for the afternoon, starting with our partner elements, and ending with our swing and leap of faith. The day usually ends around 3 and 4 pm.

A HALF DAY ropes course will start with orientation either in the morning, or at lunchtime, depending on the needs of your group. We usually spend an hour or so on low ropes elements, and then two or so hours with our high ropes elements.

Introduction to Trust

Trust is essential in our everyday lives, and we strive to cultivate and protect this educational tool as it is key to strong personal development. Trust is gradually attained through patience, caring, and thoughtfulness for each other over a period of time, but can be lost in a matter of seconds with careless or inconsiderate actions. During the progression of our Ropes Course Adventure it is satisfying to hear participants say “Yeah, I’ll try that!”, as opposed to their initial reaction of “No way!” A major part of building personal self confidence is the establishment and development of trust.

Low Ropes Course Elements and Initiative Problems

Initiative exercises offer a series of clearly but often uniquely designed problems. Decision making, effective communication, and leadership skills are fostered in this problem solving approach to building morale and camaraderie. Participants engage each challenge as part of a group, taking advantage of each member’s personal strengths. Each activity serves to break down stereotypes among peer groups, and promote an individual sense of competence and self confidence. Some problems are more mentally challenging than physical, and vice versa.

High Ropes Course Challenge Elements

High elements activities offer each participant an opportunity to test mental and physical limits against perceived risks in a safe atmosphere of support and caring. Our experienced guides work to familiarize each participant with the equipment and safety procedures involved, and foster the establishment of trust and the self confidence required when attempting high ropes elements. Everybody is encouraged to participate, but those not willing can assist other members of the group through certain on-ground support activities.
