Fantastic! The staff are brilliant with the youth. Twentieth time I've brought teens from a church youth group from Boston up to Maine. Rafting the Kennebec with Adv-bound never gets old!

We had Annie as our guide on August 7th. She was fantastic! We had a very nervous person in our 4 person group and greatly appreciated Annie's demonstration and safety speech. Adventure Bound is definitely a rafting company we would come back to next year.

Really great experience! We accidentally booked with the kids camp side of the business but that seemed to make it better because they took more time talking to you and explaining things. I was nervous about rafting again after a bad trip outside the US but our guide Annie was the absolute best and kept everything moving smoothly. After rafting with her I would absolutely recommend the company and specifically request her again!

This place was fire. Evan was a great rafting guide.

Our scout troop had an amazing experience up with Adventure Bound, and it was definitely worth the long drive. The staff was gracious, and the grounds were clean. There were plenty of things for the troop to do in the down time when we weren't on the water or in the ropes course, and the little hiking trail around to the river was beautiful. Fiona, Mike, Logan, Kate, and Ora were all fantastic guides and event coordinators, and the whole troop had a great time, even though we had to change up some plans due to thunderstorms. I think we ended up with the better option despite not getting to camp on the island. Great time to be had by all; highly recommended.

My granddaughter and 6 of her friends chose Maine as a trip destination after their high school graduation in Colorado. One of the highlights of their trip was an overnight and Kennebec River raft experience with Adventure Bound in Caratunk, Maine. The owner, John Philbrick, and his staff provide an outdoor experience like no other for teen groups and families.
The facility is uniquely accommodating to campers. Our group stayed in the bunk cabins, but there are also large fields for tents. The bunk cabins are a short distance from the main building, where there are indoor climbing stations, a kitchen where we were treated to an excellent breakfast by staff members, an outdoor pool, hot tub and a game room. On the property there is also a disc golf course, and a high and low ropes course. A veritable playground for teens. Our teens were so grateful for all of it.
After our night in the cabins, another group joined ours for a day of whitewater rafting. The trip leader, Kagan, gave a safety talk with clear instructions and informed the groups on what they should expect. Then we had a fantastic day on the river with our guide Scott. Our day ended with a cooked meal back at the base (the young men in our group want the chicken marinade recipe…they kept mentioning it!) and we got to purchase shirts and watch a video show of the photos taken on the river.
If you and your family, a group that you lead, or friends with teenagers are looking for an exciting outdoor adventure this summer, Adventure Bound offers many options and amenities that will create lasting memories as is the case with our granddaughter and her friends.

Thank you all SO much for a wonderful trip yesterday! The kids and adults alike had such a blast!! I know there were some pretty new guides out there yesterday; they were all professional and patient with our kids, and were obviously well-trained and ready to go on the river! They rocked it! The veteran guides were helpful, calm, and collected. Every one of the AB staff was so wonderful! Thanks for making their 8th-grade trip so special. You guys are THE BEST!

Last weekend, we brought 140 students and teachers to Adventure Bound for our annual Teens to Trails program – the most popular program we offer all year long, and definitely a favorite for our outdoor clubs! As always, Adventure Bound absolutely delivered. The staff were super friendly and incredibly helpful from start to finish – their support was seamless.
The venue itself is a teenager's dream: whitewater rafting, a high ropes course, climbing wall, pool and hot tub, volleyball, and a fire pit. Every single person had something to love. We had an absolute blast and can't wait to return next year! Thank you Adventure Bound!

Our Scout Troop had a great trip on a High Water Release weekend, and though the heavens opened with rain, John and his guides expertly provided expert-level navigation through the rapids. The guides were very flexible with pivoting activities on our second day due to the wet conditions, and our scouts participated at the High Ropes and indoor climbing instead of the rock climbing adventure. We were treated like valued guests, and appreciated the flexibility and skill of the staff.

A friend and I did a day of oar rig instruction with Scott Phair. We went over how to rig an oar raft, how to manage the craft through rapids with a focus on expedition style travel. Very fun and I look forward to practicing more in the future.

Safe, non-alcoholic, youth rafting company that will keep you entertained and busy all weekend. They are fairly priced and their guides have your safety and the safety of your kids on their minds. Game room, hot tub, climbing wall, experienced guides, foodservice for your trip, cabins, tent area, near the river. It is a great place for the family and friends.

Did a two days of rowing under the watchful eye and instructiion of Scott, phenomnal experince. Scott is a seasoned river runner snd patient insteuctor. Done a few river trips as a passanger but only rowed flat water before going out with Scott, who took me on for two days. It was a blast and i learned a ton, couodnt reccomend Scott and the AB crew more highly. Most importantly, Scott really got me feeling confident about hitting white water. For thise inteerested in this kind of thing, really reccomend you do two full river days to get the full experience and feel for it.

Another outstanding trip t Adeventure Bound! John and the crew always work to make sure that our students are well feed, well trained and have a great time. Can't say enough good things about the team at Adventure Bound. Great guides and staff make for memorable trips down the Kennebeck. This was our second time bringing the scouts of BSA Troop 44 up to enjoy the rapids. Can't wait till we get back again!

John was very patient and helpful with our Middle School Outdoor Rec students. White Water Rafting was surely an experience of a lifetime for them.

This was an amazing trip. There is no better way to celebrate a graduating classes time to gather than time at Adventure Bound. They bounded in ways that didn't happen after 12 years together. The Adventure Bound team was also phenomenal. They answered every question and were always available. We hope to make this an annual event.
