Youth Focused whitewater rafting & Adventures in Maine

Meet the AB Family

John Philbrick has been Adventure Bound’s proud owner since 2010, along with his wife, Morgan, their two young boys and Milo, the dog. Together, this family actively manages day-to-day operations, guides groups, and even takes the wheel of our buses! Drawing from decades of experience guiding expeditions across Maine’s rivers and mountains, their expertise spans whitewater rafting, hiking, canoeing, rock climbing, and various outdoor pursuits.

At Adventure Bound, you’ll witness this dedicated family showcasing their passion and commitment to crafting unforgettable experiences for everyone who visits.

All-Inclusive Adventures for Youth

The founders of Adventure Bound, the original owners of Northern Outdoors, identified the demand for an adventure center uniquely designed for children and families. Acknowledging the desire of young people for a space solely dedicated to kids, absent of adult gatherings and limiting constraints. Adventure Bound began in 1998, as a destination geared for Youth Groups and Families for outdoor adventures in Maine’s wilderness.

Adventure Facilities for Families

At Adventure Bound, our facility is purposefully designed for the enjoyment of children and teens. Say goodbye to sharing the space with partying adults or worrying about a nightclub-like atmosphere. Here, boredom is a non-issue with an array of thrilling activities. While chaperones unwind, kids revel in the climbing wall, outdoor pool, 24-person hot tub, arcade, movie theater, and a multitude of sports and entertainment options, including nightly bonfires.
