American Camp Association Accreditation

We  ensure that all necessary requirements are met for a fantastic whitewater rafting experience in Maine. Here are some important details:

  1. All of our whitewater Guides must be licensed by the state of Maine. One qualification for this licensing is that each guide has a minimum of basic first aid and CPR training.
  2. Every Adventure Bound Trip Leader is required to have advance first aid training or equivalent.
  3. Equipment Inspections: Our equipment, including first aid kits, is regularly inspected by Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, the state agency responsible for overseeing our industry. We adhere to their guidelines to maintain the highest safety standards.
  4. Climbing Gear Inspections: For our ropes course and climbing wall programs, our climbing gear is inspected by Wingspeed Adventures, an independent company. This ensures that all equipment is in excellent condition and safe for use.
  5. Our facility is equipped with two AED devices.
  6. At the request of your camp we can obtain a liability insurance certificate.  We will forward that certificate along to you as soon as it arrives. Please note, we would not be issued our operating license by the state of Maine without this insurance.

We prioritize the safety and well-being of our guests above all else. If you need further assistance with your accreditation process or any other concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to provide you with the best possible experience.
